Job description

To help fulfill this mission, we're seeking a sharp and highly motivated Coordinator of Digital Content to join our growing Regional Content teams. Success in this role requires an equally creative and analytical brain as you will be supporting your team in a variety of functions from creative development to content creation to digital publishing to content performance reporting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attend daily Content Strategy Sessions and report assigned station's digital content plans to your team
- Monitor assigned stations social handles to ensure adherence to publishing recommendations in terms of copy, cadence, and creative
- Prepare recurring content performance reports, and work with your team to synthesize the data to formulate strategic content plans aimed at growing each station's audience and increasing engagement
- Create and distribute recurring competitive content reports with the goal of putting our stations at the forefront of digital innovation
- Track social media trends, and actively contribute content recommendations to your team for potential execution by the stations
- Create low-lift content for distribution across all social platforms as needed
- Troubleshoot any and all issues stations experience within the Sinclair digital ecosystem and with all social platforms
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in social media strategy and content creation for a media organization or brand (direct newsroom experience highly preferred)
- Exceptional knowledge of all aspects of social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok
- Experience creating performance reports using social media analytics platforms (i.e. Sprout/Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Crowd Tangle, etc.), and ability to articulately translate that data into actionable plans
- Must have a highly curious mind, possess the ability to spot trends in social media, and the skills to create engaging digital content
- Must be highly motivated, extremely organized, and come to the position with a digital-first mindset
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change that may come about as our team evolves over time
- Late-night, early-morning, weekend, and holiday work may occur depending on the news cycle

The hourly compensation range for this role is $21.66 to $25.48. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
