Job description
The Collection Analyst is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding B2B accounts. They work with customers to find payment solutions and negotiate payment plans. The Collection Analyst ensures timely payment and maintains accurate records of all collection activity.
Job Duties:
- Contact B2B clients via phone and email to resolve disputes and negotiate payment plans on delinquent accounts.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to obtain a resolution for all assigned delinquent accounts and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with the sales department to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies that may affect collections, and keep sales informed of any impending collection actions.
- Analyze customer accounts to identify and resolve issues that could lead to non-payment and discuss/escalate to management and/or internal staff.
- Review and research assigned accounts for application of unapplied cash and deposits, and initiate refunds as needed.
- Record all customer interactions and update customer account information in our EBS system.
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis.
- Utilize all available collection tools to assist with collection on delinquent accounts.
- Participate in the weekly and/or monthly team, department, and staff conference calls as required.
- Ensure compliance with collection laws and regulations, and GAAP principles including Sarbanes Oxley accounting standards.
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure.
- High level of comfort with technology and data analysis tools.
- Knowledgeable of FDCPA regulations
Preferred Experience:
- Microsoft office suite, specifically excel
- Debt collections experience, minimum 2 years
- Business to business accounts receivable collection experience minimum 1 year.
- Broadcast Industry experience
- Experience using debt collection software, specifically Oracle Advanced Collections
- Skip - tracing experience

The hourly compensation range for this role is $19.82 to $23.32. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
