Title:
Research & Development Contracts Lead KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Research & Development Contracts Lead to join our team. This position will support our government customer in Washington DC Metropolitan area. Responsibilities include: Provide the customer recommendations on appropriate contract type for Research and Development projects being issued to develop innovative technologies.
Assist the customer in performing Market Research associated with the various area of interest.
Assist the customer in establishing the contracts and associated contract related documentation to include Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP)
Assists the customer in evaluating proposals from various offerors for Research and Development efforts. Required Skills and Experience: Security Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with Poly Bachelor's degree (Business Development, Contracts or related field)
8+ years of experience with Federal government contracting
DAWIA Level III or related professional certification
5+ years of IC experience
Demonstrated knowledge of contracting procedures, types, and methods, including formal advertising, negotiation, fixed-price, grants and cost contracting.
Demonstrated knowledge of cost and price procedures to evaluate offers and responsibility of contractors on the basis of competition, historical costs, reports from auditors or technical specialists, contractor cost breakdowns regarding labor, materials, overhead, and profit, or other evaluation criteria and selection processes where the information is usually available.
Experience developing and accessing Market Research, Request for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Knowledgeable in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, complexities, and techniques of federal contracting, to include the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the IARPA Government agency acquisition process. Desired: Master's degree
12+ years of experience with Federal government contracting
