Job Description The successful Jr. Systems Analyst will provide support for multiple government acquisition offices. The selected candidate will demonstrate an understanding of technical specifications based on business requirements and functional specifications. They will provide end-user help desk support to the government's acquisition office and customer users for the following systems: • PRISM: A COTS contract-writing application developed by Unison (formerly Compusearch Software Systems) • UFMS: HHS's Oracle Financials 12c-based finance system • FPDS: The Federal Procurement Data System - a reporting system used federal government-wide • PSC WorkSmarter ARS: The Acquisition Reporting System, an in-house system used for Workload tracking, custom reporting and dashboards, and incident ticket management. In addition, they will also assist in the development, testing, and debugging of web applications for ARS using the Appian Business Process Modelling platform and Oracle database. Work scope may include any/all of the following duties: Support primary and secondary customers and may be required to support a multi-state region by performing updates, upgrades, maintenance, and disposition of hardware/software. Analyze software, hardware, and system malfunctions, and implement corrective actions. Deliver technical briefings for users of mission planning systems, software, and data (including classified and unclassified source data) as required. Support unit needs during exercises, daily training, deployments, and real-world contingencies. Provide SSR support/expertise as requested by the Mission Planning Systems Support Facility. This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Typical salary range for this position is $44,700 to $60,375 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. For "remote" positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent. Qualifications: Education Required: • This position requires Two (2) years of college in a computer field and three (3) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education or experience for a total of five (5) years Clearance Required: • The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Skills Required: • The successful candidate is required to have a working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), Structured Query Language (SQL), and must demonstrate strong communication skills. Preferred Skills: Oracle Database 11g/12c, SQL, PL/SQL Appian design experience Experience with the project lifecycle development process (analysis, design, code, test, migrate) Ability to work both independently as well as within a team. Ability to follow directions, take ownership of work, and meet deliverables/deadlines. Ability to adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) Ability to understand complex federal acquisitions processes from a transactional point of view Essential Functions for Position Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Equipment and Machines : Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required. Attendance : Regular hours will be between Monday - Friday 0700 - 1700. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements. Other Essential Functions : Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
