Job description

Maryland Vascular Specialists is looking for a personable, hardworking Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) in the Baltimore, MD area. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, we also have a part-time position available. Travel to offices in the Baltimore County area is required.

_ Requirements: _

RVT Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (ARDMS)

Degree from an accredited ultrasound program

Minimum 2 years experience as an RVT preferred

Proficient in all vascular imaging and reporting

Must be computer literate

_ Expected Performance Requirements: _

Carotid Duplex, Arterial Dopplers (Upper and Lower) and Arterial Duplex, Venous Duplex for DVT (Upper and Lower) and Reflux, AV-Fistula/graft imaging, Abdominal, Renal and Visceral Duplex examinations.

_ Primary Duties & Responsibilities: _

Consistently performs technically adequate vascular testing procedures to assist the vascular surgeons

Completes all vascular-related patient history and physical examination prior to testing

Identifies and documents appropriate data/information during testing procedures

Obtains and records optimal Doppler signals, measurements, & calculations

Participates in ongoing Quality Improvement Program

Collaborate with office Providers and staff on scheduling, reporting, and inventory

Clarifies and communicates information and testing specifics to the patient and/or family prior to testing

Completes all related clerical procedures

Ensures completeness of required patient data prior to billing and interpretation

Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all patients

Training and proficiency with Studycast

Adheres to all MVS imaging guidelines and patient care protocols and procedures

Maintains established department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, quality, and safety standards.

Adequately enters/imports all patient and test information into report software.

Demonstrates compliance with Universal Precautions when appropriate

Performs other duties as assigned
