Drywall Estimator

Location: Essex, Maryland

Position Overview: The Drywall Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for drywall projects, from initial takeoff through project completion. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to accurately determine material and labor costs for drywall installation.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for drywall, framing, insulation, and associated materials.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Present estimates to project managers and clients, providing clear explanations and adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop value engineering solutions and cost-saving strategies.
• Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure alignment with estimates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Drywall Estimator, preferably in the commercial or residential construction industry.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
