Job description

We seek an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team at SIXGEN, Inc. As a Scrum master, you will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our organization, ensuring the company can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. You will work closely with the product development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our team - helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. This role resides in our Delivery department and reports to our Chief Technologist. This position is remote with a 10% travel requirement. SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices. Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products. Work with the Product Team to prioritize the product backlog. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team's progress. Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions. Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders. Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time. Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 10 years in engineering, testing, or software project management. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master. Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies. Preferred Skills and Experience: General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying. Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Understanding and experience with Flow Metrics is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Trello. Additional Details Job Location: Remote (Maryland/Northern VA preferred) Clearance Requirement: US Citizen Travel: Travel to the office will be required for meetings and collaboration. The anticipated salary range for this role is $125,000 - $155,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our compensation philosophy, which takes into account various factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, skills, LCATs rates and position level, and market competitiveness. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation to include our growth incentive program, incentives and benefits. The final salary offer will be determined after a thorough review of the candidate's background and alignment with the role.
