Job Title: System Administrator Level 2 Location(s): Annapolis Junction, Maryland Hours: Regular Full-Time/ First Shift Salary Range: $101k/yr - $165k/yr Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with FS poly at the time of application. What you will be doing: The Systems Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems; manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems; provides support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems; provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolutions of problems; provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process; provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers; and possesses experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process Configure and manage UNIX and Windows ( or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Position Requirements Minimum Requirements: Experience: Twelve (12) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required Ten (10) years experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment. Ten (10) years experience in the creation of automation scripts for configuration, backup, and restoration using well know scripting languages (for example bash/Perl). Three (3) years experience in implementing OS level clustering. Five (5) years experience performing Puppet system administration. Five (5) years experience installing software from YUM repositories, RPM Files, tar-balls, or source code. Ten (10) years experience in researching, acquiring, and applying IA VA patches. Eight (8) years experience in using Unix/Linux command line. Five (5) years experience with VMWare architecture, Installation and configuration. Experience with facilitating failover with VMotion, VMWare template library, and VMWare monitoring capability. Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Knowledge/Skills : Must be IAT Level 2 or 3 certified Why JASINT?
