Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an ambitious Senior Business Development Director with demonstrated success identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the Maryland Procurement Office (MPO) marketspace. As a key member in our Cyber Mission Sector, you will provide leadership, critical thought, and a strategic mindset to winning business opportunities. You will partner with strategy, capture teams, program management teams, and functional leadership to develop account growth vectors, customer engagements, win strategies, solutions, and proposals. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals. Responsibilities: Serve as the MPO growth Lead focused on achieving new business sales goals.
Embrace the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities, and effectively manage and communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
Partner with Business Unit Leaders to identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships which aligns with strategic growth plans. Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan, and the associated pipeline, in alignment and consistent with corporate campaign strategy and goals.
Build and mature key customer relationships within the customer's organizations.
Primary interface with customer community for assigned opportunities and customers.
Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market survey's, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations.
Oversee a business development staff of direct and matrixed resources the engage in complex functional activities that will have a major impact on meaningful and measurable revenue growth through winning new business, contract.
Manage the business development budget. Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports. Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPI) and a performance measurement framework.
Travel as required, as dictated by business need.Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree and 18+ years of professional experience.
Deep understanding of MPO customer missions and strategy across their entire enterprise.
Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients
Proven success with the full life cycle of the business acquisition process, from opportunity concept through pursuit, winning, program startup and ongoing execution. A demonstrated successful record of accomplishment of qualifying and winning contracts in excess of $100M.
Partners with VP of Growth to manage Customer Engagement / Bid & Proposal budgets. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Desired Existing relationship with MPO customers.
Profit & Loss/program management experience.
Target Salary Range $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
