Front End/UI Mid-Level Software Engineer Why This is an Exciting Role: The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system. You will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Advanced Training & Simulation, Production Analytics, Autonomy, Electro-Optical/Infrared Sensing, Cybersecurity, Disruptive Computing & Networks, and High-Fidelity Digital Twin & Virtualization, and much more. Position Responsibilities: Development and design of Web based UI solutions to deliver an intuitive user experience Collaborate with users, technical, and architecture teams to solve complex user interface problems Rapidly prototype UI interfaces to iteratively work with users on UI design Advocate for modern designs and best practices that deliver value to our end users while considering ease of implementation and sustainment Understand the capabilities, complexity, and limitations of technical architecture throughout the UI Development process Provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates What Makes BI&A Different: As a fully owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, BI&A offers an optimal mix of a small company environment with exceptional opportunities supported by a large corporation. Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree 4+ years of experience developing web-based applications 3+ years of experience using Agile or SAFe methodology Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle including (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, and test) Experience with front-end programming languages (JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc.) Experience with a modern Java Script-based application front end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular Experience with Web Development, APIs, and REST Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience designing and developing web based UI applications Experience in design thinking methodology in UI development Linux OS experience Telework Availability: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD; El Segundo, CA; Fairfax, VA; and Huntington Beach, CA Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
