DevSecOps Software Engineer - Mid Level Why This is an Exciting Role: Boeing is seeking talented, motivated, and high-performing software engineers to help create technologies that will define the future of aerospace. In this position, you will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Advanced Training & Simulation, Production Analytics, Autonomy, Electro-Optical/Infrared Sensing, Cybersecurity, Disruptive Computing & Networks, and High-Fidelity Digital Twin & Virtualization. Position Responsibilities: Develop and sustain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for automated deployment of the highly available, mission critical systems or enterprise platform product software for integration and test and operations Create scripts and templates to build development systems Leverages technical knowledge of infrastructure software, and security to maintain and improve and deploy and harden complex infrastructure Perform analysis, design, develop and implementation activities to install, configure and maintain infrastructure, software and components in air-gapped and on-premise platform utilizing everything as code, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC), for deployments Perform activities to ensure alignment of use cases and objectives with architecture and security Provide guidance and direction to DevSecOps developers and administrators Troubleshoot application deployment issues Research/analyze issues (such as application integration, testing, performance etc.) and provide recommendations and resolution Interface effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment What Makes BI&A Different: As a fully owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, BI&A offers an optimal mix of a small company environment with exceptional opportunities supported by a large corporation. Experience and Qualifications: To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree 3+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory) Experience with Terraform and Ansible Experience with Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes Experience with continual improvement of complex applications Experience with AWS solutions and design and deployment of enterprise-scale applications Desired Qualifications: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience with object-oriented software development (C/C++, Java) 5+ years of experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (GitLab, Nexus, Artifactory) Experience developing guidelines and best practices for on-premises development & implementations including containers and container orchestration Experience with architecting and automating disaster recovery solutions Experience using Agile or SAFe methodology Experience with security controls such as DoD RMF Experience with automation and provisioning of isolated/air-gapped environments Telework Availability: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
