Responsibilities Peraton is hiring an Analytic and Engagement Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As an Analytic and Engagement Engineer on our team you will provide Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support to a government customer and assist with: Tool development, Configuration/ Change Management (CM) processes, and Strategic Requirements Planning. You will work closely with field site POCs to gather technical requirements to ultimately produce a prototype tool. You will be responsible for identifying dependencies, prioritizing requirements, IT and real infrastructure improvements, and coordinating a transition to new operations. You will collaborate across the region to share tools, promote continuous process improvement, provide feedback and conduct lessons learned activities to standardize Systems Engineering across the Extended Enterprise. Position includes temporary travel to Alaska (1-2 weeks per quarter). Qualifications Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable. Demonstrated successful leadership and technical project management experience.
Ability to coordinate on-going activities with Hardware and Software Planning, Installation and Integration, and approval of new mission system installations.
Experience in preparing and presenting briefs for senior government program managers.
Demonstrated experience in strategic and long-range planning and activities with focus on continuous improvement. Ability to establish and execute Systems Engineering processes, including Baseline Configuration Management.
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired: Excellent communications skills at all management levels (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and on a team. Facilitation of Change/ Configuration Boards, including analysis of interdependencies between systems.
Monitoring and/or maintenance / integrity of databases: (e.g: CMDB and other report and database repositories).
Development or implementation management of processes and workflows for requirements/ configuration/change management
Architecture baseline definition ITIL certification Experience in the development of facilities roadmaps/plans Field site and SIGINT experience
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Target Salary Range $190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
