Job description

Duties Serves as senior technical advisor on budget execution and impact on program requirements. Interprets Department of Defense and Department of Army guidance and develops policy recommendations to the Project Manager. Serves as an expert advisor to the Project Manager/Program Executive Officer regarding the status, efficiency, or effectiveness of a broad range of acquisition programs. Responsible for the overall planning, direction, and success of substantial programs, systems development efforts, acquisition, and research and development initiatives. Performs the full range of technical and administrative supervisory duties. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. One year trial/probationary period may be required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at the Advanced level in the Acquisition Career Field Business - Financial Management (BUS-FM) within 48 months of entrance on duty. The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Business travel required up to 25% of the time. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level III Certified position and incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of appointment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)/GS-13. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
