Job description

Duties Establishes the scope and extent of the logistics support for both Army and other user services. Forecasts demands, buy/repairs, cataloging, provisioning and budget requirements; establishes maintenance and support concept for assigned weapon system(s). Analyzes or reviews logistics documents such as Capability Development Document (CDD), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP). Material Fielding Plans (MFPs), and ILS Plans for the purpose of assuring the sufficiency/adequacy of transition sustainment planning and readiness contributions to requirement documents. Coordinates with multiple ILSC Directorates within the Center to convey fluctuation in fleet density, notifications through Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs) and Maintenance Advisory Messages (MAMs). Coordinates, provides updates to, and prepares Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs); analyzes and modifies the contributions of the various functional areas. Develops an ARP that tailors the various responses into a package that assures consistency with the specific needs of the system. Participates in the ILS Integrated Process Team (IPT). As the designated authority for assigned systems, identifies significant problems (actual and incipient) associated with support status. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. Project Management Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-13 grade step 05 in the broadband. The Control Point for this position is equivalent to GS-13 step 5 at $133,692 including locality at the rate of 33.26%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13, step 05 level the incumbent' s salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbents existing salary. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selectee must meet position requirements for (Life Cycle Logistics) Foundational Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty. This position may be subject to organizational compensation limits as identified in the organization's CCAS business rules or separate compensation management strategy. Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NH-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-12, Step 01 to GS-13, Step 10. This position is subject to the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Senior Professional control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy. Relocation/Retention Incentive will not be authorized. Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) will not be authorized. Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized.
