Job description
Cornerstones of Maine is offering an exciting opportunity to become part of our prestigious residential young adult mental health program as a psychotherapist. Cornerstones of Maine has been offering research-driven mental health services to young adults for almost a decade and we are continuing to expand as we open a Residential Treatment Center in early 2025. This position offers opportunities to work in a company that has a compassionate culture, meaningful mission, and opportunities for professional growth. A strong candidate has experience working in residential or in-patient settings with young adults who are struggling with obstacles to their mental health.
About us:
Cornerstones of Maine is a boutique, private-pay, residential program that provides a suite of transitional support services to young adults. Cornerstones of Maine is the fastest growing therapeutic program in Maine, having quadrupled in size in 6 years. Founded by two clinical psychologists in 2015, Cornerstones has become one of the most respected residential programs in the country, offering a therapeutic experience that is inaccessible in today's insurance-bound mental health field.
Our program meets the needs of young adult clients who are struggling to transition to independence and learning how to take care of their mental health. We utilize an integrated therapeutic model and our psychotherapists carry a small caseload of clients, providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy. The therapeutic milieu encourages a dynamic, team-treatment approach which allows our staff members to support and collaborate with each other on cases. Our psychotherapists participate in ongoing training and weekly individual and group supervision. Our psychotherapists also present regularly at academic and professional conferences all over the country. This is a very exciting position that incorporates fascinating clinical work and opportunities for intensive study of clinical technique.
Cornerstones of Maine is a mission-driven, diversity-inclusive program that is committed to providing the same level of support to our staff that we do to our clients. As a collaborative collegial community we strive to make work fun and fulfilling and work to ensure that our team maintains a healthy work-life balance. We utilize a bottom-up approach to creating policies and procedures and we count on our staff to lend their voice to our company's policies and procedures. Our work space is clean and ergonomic and the culture of our staff community is based on compassion, respect, collaboration, and transparency. We also provide opportunities for advancement for those seeking leadership, supervisory, or administrative opportunities.
