Job description

Overview:
TEKsystems is seeking multiple experienced Network Engineers to support a local government client out of New Orleans, LA and Pearl Harbor, HI. The Network Operations Sr. Position sits within the Marine Corps Enterprise Network - Network Activity Reserve supporting 150 sites and 800 routing and switching devices. These devices are made up of Cisco Series Switches, 2900 transitioning to Cisco Series Routers, and 4 core Nexus Routers. Responsibilities:
-Monitor the infrastructure and network, responding appropriately to alerts and events.
-Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.
-Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.
-Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.
-Provide data center support where appropriate.
-Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
-Provide incident notification to Government representatives. Technical Areas of Focus for the NetOps Sr:
-Router and Switch Port Configuration/ Port Channeling
-Routing Protocol (EIGRP/OSPF)
-VLAN Configuration
-SD-WAN
-TACLANE
-MPLS/JP/KEG Circuits / IPV6 About the program:
