Job description

LHH is seeking a litigation paralegal with insurance defense experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity in New Orleans, LA. This position offers hybrid schedule. You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, etc.; maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; case management; all aspects of discovery; coordinating court dates and appearances; trial prep; deposition prep; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties; legal research; document production; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, including solid understanding of medical terminology

  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset

Salary: $75,000-$80,000/yr.
