Job description

Employee will perform as an Electronic Technician II under the supervision of an Audio Visual Manager I and is directly responsible for the execution of all Audio/Video (AV) support for the CTC mission at JRTC and Fort Johnson (Polk) under the Army TADSS Management Program (ATMP). Electronic Technician III will ensure audio and video are operational for all After Action Reviews (AARs), conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of the physical layer and devices within scope, conduct maintenance for subcomponents of the AV systems, and enter all preventive maintenance and work order actions in the Maintenance Information System (MIS). Job Duties: • Apply basic electronic theory involved in engineering functions such as design, development, evaluation, testing, and installation and maintenance of electronic equipment. • Perform the responsibilities of the position in both an office and in extreme weather conditions. • Knowledgeable of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems. • Perform operational tests on AAR facilities scheduled for use at least two (2) hours prior to programmed time. All AARs will have a "walk-through" of the scheduled facility the day prior to the scheduled occupation. A final inspection will be completed thirty (30) minutes prior to the start time. • Setup, operate, and monitor AARs. • Emergency maintenance during scheduled and non-scheduled times will be performed as required to ensure unit training time is maximized. This emergency maintenance will be performed IAW established procedures and at the direction of the Audio Visual Manager. • Must maintain an accurate maintenance history and ensure the unique corrective measures are taken for each occurrence and shared between the maintenance shifts. Ensures the complete maintenance logs and other required documentation are accurate. • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment. • Repair equipment no longer covered under warranty. Package and Ship equipment under warranty to vendor for repair. • Manipulation of software platforms to include Windows, McAfee and other proprietary solutions is required. • Work in compliance with OSHA and Company Safety policies and procedures as appropriate. • May be required to support other devices and will be cross trained, as needed.
