Responsibilities

Shifts available are between 8a-5p with several locations across Louisville, KY

In area of oncology specialty, the Nurse Clinician - Oncology acts as a clinician, educator, consultant, researcher and leader relevant to the needs of oncology patient and family members, nursing personnel and the healthcare system. The Nurse Clinician - Oncology serves as a clinical resource and expert in area of oncology specialty and communicates needs and coordinates services among other members of the health care team in order to ensure total quality oncology patient care and improved patient outcomes. The Nurse Clinician demonstrates knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, clinical competency and professional development and utilizes the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family centered care as the foundation for his/her nursing practice.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 1 year in oncology, palliative, head and neck experience or 3 years general nursing experience
  • Associate Degree
  • Registered Nurse

Desired:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Oncology Certified Nurse Oncology Certified Nurse v OCN or certification relevant to oncology specialty
