Job Description Job Description Payroll & Benefits Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced payroll and benefits specialist for a client in Covington, KY. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with payroll and benefits regulations, processing payroll, and maintaining effective HR practices. This position is direct hire and will pay between $50K and $65K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new entities for tax purposes and manage operations in complex multi-state tax jurisdictions.
  • Implement and assess payroll best practices for efficient multi-state operations.
  • Demonstrate strong full-cycle payroll experience with in-depth knowledge of multi-state tax regulations and practices.
  • Manage multi-state overtime calculations and ensure adherence to wage and hour laws.
  • Manage payments to government agencies not processed through ADP.
  • Ensure consistent application of benefit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state laws and regulatory requirements, including FMLA, workers compensation, HIPAA, ADA, and ACA
  • Process benefit enrollments for new employees and manage COBRA notifications and tracking.
  • Address requests from internal and external auditors.


Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in accounting or human resources is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Payroll and/or Benefits Administration
  • Knowledge of current HMRC legislation in respect of PAYE and National Insurance
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage requests from auditors effectively.
