This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of their steel mill equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems. Propose and implement solutions to challenges in the steel-making process. Uphold and lead safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Minimum Requirements Fundamental knowledge of Electrical Theory. 4 years of experience in an industrial electrical role or a combination of 4 years of experience and a Trade school degree. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Detailed Criteria Accountability: Demonstrates responsibility with work habits and holds others accountable for desired results. Initiative: Proactively seeks out work that needs to be done and takes on responsibilities and challenges. Teamwork: Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members, effectively managing and resolving conflicts. Judgment/Decision Making: Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Preferences Formal education or training in electrical theory. Experience with AC & DC motors, power transformers, and Programmable Logic Controllers. Knowledge of electrical safety practices. Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and other mobile equipment. Experience in performing preventative and corrective maintenance. Must-Have Skills 4 years of experience in an industrial electrical role or a combination of 4 years of experience and a Trade school degree. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Knowledge and experience with AC & DC motors, power transformers, and Programmable Logic Controllers. Formal electrical safety knowledge. Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and other mobile equipment. Proven experience in performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
