Commercial Loan Assistant
A financial client of gpac's has a rare opening on its loan team! This well-respected and truly community-oriented bank group confidentially seeks a proven growing Commercial Loan Assistant , with lots of fun work in the CRE space in the Kansas City, Kansas area. Current Experience Requirements:
- Completed 4-year college degree, preferably in Accounting, Marketing, Finance or related field however, EXPERIENCE TRUMPS DEGREE in this role
- 5 years in an active Commercial Loan Assitant role.
- $45,000-75,000 per year
- Team mindset
- Ability to make the loan officers look good, methodical history of credit decisions
- CRE commercial real estate credit, title, liens checks, research, phone calls to verify correctness of files.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. other languages might be helpful
- Knowledge of Bank regulations regarding lending and debt collection
- Need to be from a community bank or credit union atmosphere
Loan Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the loan officers in managing and processing commercial loan applications
- Prepare loan documents and ensure all required documents are accurate and complete
- Review financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess borrower's creditworthiness
- Assist in conducting credit analysis and risk assessment for commercial loan applications
- Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure smooth loan processing and timely communication with borrowers
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of loan applications and transactions
- Assist in preparing loan packages and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Maintain regular communication with loan officers and borrowers throughout the loan process
- Conduct research on industry trends and market conditions to support loan analysis
- Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and address any inquiries or concerns
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Basic knowledge of financial analysis and lending principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
