Job description
Duties This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive: Move furniture and equipment to set up classroom configurations in support of the schedule. Prioritize assigned tasks to accomplish them in a timely manner. Deliver publications and other classroom support materials as needed. Assist in the execution of conferences, ceremonies, and special events. As necessary, assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance. Drive vehicles such as sedans, trucks, or vans to transport various tools and equipment to work sites. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance while occupying this position. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter. This position has a requirement to lift in excess of 50 lbs. and possibly more with assistance in the regular performance of duties. The incumbent is required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and work on ladders. Operation of motorized vehicles requires physical effort in reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Incumbent performs work outdoors, indoors, and in confined spaces. The incumbent may be exposed to moving parts and subject to noise and vibration from equipment. This position may require temporary duty (TDY) up to 5% of the time. Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) The incumbent is required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and work on ladders. Operation of motorized vehicles/equipment requires light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Incumbent performs work outdoors, indoors, and in confined spaces. Outdoor work may be performed for long periods, under all weather conditions. Work may be performed in close proximity to coworkers or may be performed alone. Incumbent is exposed to moving objects and sharp edges with possibility of cuts and bruises, and be subject to noise and vibration from equipment. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
