Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic with a specialization in heavy equipment. In this role, you will work in our well-equipped shop on location, eliminating the need for extensive travel between job sites. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our heavy equipment fleet, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and more.

Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize equipment servicing and repair tasks.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Master Diesel Mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment (not truck experience).
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dedication to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Possess your own tools for the job.
  • Willingness to work in a shop on location without frequent travel.
