We are seeking candidates to work one-on-one with clients to run the programming that is developed for each individual client. Our Behavior Technicians are trained on-site using research based-proven methods of Applied Behavior Analysis. Our goal is to enhance the lives of our clients by developing programs that enhance their quality of life, independent living skills, communication, social, and academic skills.

Therapy can take place in the clinic, home, and/or school settings. Behavior Technicians follow highly structured treatment programs developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) that are geared toward your client's needs. Behavior Technicians will be trained to use principles of behavior analysis to help patients develop life skills and verbal behavior. Behavior Technicians will also be trained to use these same principles to help clients reduce maladaptive behaviors, which may in some cases include aggressive behaviors.

Behavior Technicians will be required to complete a 40-hour training (paid) and work with our clinical team and BCBA's to prepare to become a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB. Behavior Technicians are required to become Registered Behavior Technician within 60 days of employment.

Behavior Technicians Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one ABA therapy services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Collect daily data on client behavior and goals and note daily progress.
Address problem behaviors of clients.
Provide support to Supervisee's and BCBA's when requested.
Provide feedback to Supervisee's and BCBA's on clients behaviors, program, concerns, needs, etc.
Follow directions provided by BCBA's and BCaBA's.
Display leadership skills becoming of a professional therapist (e.g., remains positive, builds team morale, sets an example for best therapy practices).
Work well in a team setting with each client's clinical therapy team.
Adhere to the RBT standards in the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts ().
Adhere to the Standards of Conduct and Employee Performance as it is written in the BAI Employee Handbook.

Qualifications:

High school degree/diploma.
Must be 18 years old.
Prefer experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Demonstrate solid communication skills both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented, professional appearance, and works well in teams but has the ability to work independently for in-home or in-school therapy settings.
Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance.
Must pass criminal and sexual abuse background checks along with drug tests.

Physical Requirements:
Behavior Technicians may be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and/or do repetitive tasks. Behavior Technicians will also be required to use various methods of safe physical management techniques to ensure the safety of clients and staff. This training will be provided to you on-site by our trained instructor.
