Job description
Maxim Healthcare has partnered with a Client seeking Physicians for several on-site employee health centers located throughout the suburban Chicago area, and Indiana. These centers are operated by a large Union coalition providing wellness and episodic care for the employees and their families ages 2 and up. These health centers have a proactive, educative approach where associates and their dependents are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices. These centers offer primary care along with episodic care for sickness with longer appointment times that allow the physician to meet the needs of the patient during the visit, with additional time given for wellness visits and health maintenance exams. This position offers a good work life balance with no weekends, on-call, hospital rounds, or holiday work days. The weekly hours are 40 hours per week with one evening shift during the week until 7 PM. Schedules are balanced to provide adequate time for providers to see patients
There will be one clinic physician located at each location where you would conduct exams and develop plans within the scope of your professional license. This includes educating patients on preventive care, specialty referrals, prescribing medication, diagnostic testing, and screening evaluations. The provider will also coordinate and collaborate care as needed with other members of the health team which may include other Physicians, Medical Assistants, non clinical and support staff, and Nurse Practitioners. The patient mix will be members of the Union Coalition and their families.
Basic Qualifications:
MD or DO Degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible seeking certification
DEA License Federal and State Certification
Illinois Physician License Current
BCLS Certification
Training or Work experience in a Primary Care Setting
Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatric, Urgent Care, or Emergency room training
Ability and experience to see ages 2 and up
Expectations:
Licensure is current and in good standing
Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
Understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets
Perform responsibilities as assigned
Agreeable to reside and commute within reasonable distance of the assigned clinic location
One evening shift to 7 PM is expected
Additional Information:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position will be obligated to comply with occupational health requests, including but not limited to an immunizations, vaccinations or screenings including TB, hepatitis A and B, influenza, Tdap and Covid 19.
An agreement to arbitrate disputes will be a requirement for hiring
A screening and passing of a drug screen is a requirement for this position
