We are looking for a Public Health Program Coordinator to be responsible for budget administration, applications, grants, contracts, invoicing, processing, reporting, partnerships and program monitoring . This position will be full-time contract and hybrid.
What You'll Do
Assist in managing all business components of the division including contract preparation and monitoring, reports, Local Agency audits and financial monitoring, and administration to assure compliance and conformity with the terms of the contract(s) and the expectations of federal and state funding entities
Manage and monitor all subrecipient/partner invoices and claims for reimbursement including establishing strong, working relationships with both Finance and Accounts Payable to comply with timely payment of invoices
Assist with the formation and implementation of training and staff development modules for Local Agency staff
Assist with the preparation and submission of USDA-related progress reports, including tracking expenses for all grants
Assist with state and local agency technical inquiries including clarifying and interpreting all procedures, providing references, and resolving disputed issues
Assist with budget template creation, preparation, and contract development
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, policies and procedures that govern program operations and confidentiality
Provide technical assistance to State staff and Local Agency staff regarding program finances when requested
Assist with preparation and submission of additional reports as required or funding entities
Identify and maintain relationships with key personnel in Local Agencies
Assist with annual and biannual financial audits of subrecipients
Network and collaborate with other program areas within the Division and attend regular staff meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
A degree from an accredited institution with a focus in business, public, or non-profit administration, communication, public health, human services, or a related field
Knowledge of the program and the ability to understand the complexity of the program as it relates to funding methods
Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and correlate technical material
Ability to approach issues with flexibility, patience, and compassion
Excellent computer and math skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
An energetic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated personality, with excellent critical thinking skills
An ability to work well with other team members and Division staff, be an effective communicator, and promote a positive work environment
A strong ability to maintain successful working relationships with external entities
An ability to work with confidential material and to abide by all security protocols
