Job Number: R Information System Security Officer
Key Role: Work as a dynamic, highly motivated, and well-organized individual and leverage experience with administering U.S. government security policies and procedures to support the Information Systems Security Manager ( ISSM ) within Booz Allen. Provide assessment and authorization of computer networks using government standards and data contamination management, including coordinating clean-up efforts, reporting requirements, and ensuring auditing requirements are completed. Maintain responsibility for monitoring media control, vi rus scanning, hardware and sof tware control, and computer security briefings, serve as an advocate for all disciplines within the security program, and ensure business needs are met. Work with system administrators to ensure all systems security procedures are being followed and audit files are being maintained and reviewed in accordance with multiple client requirements. Make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions. Communicate information effectively to various audiences verbally and through written communications. Interact with internal and external clients or government security offi cia ls to perform security duties, address routine information security matters with employees regarding issues, and perform report preparation, system security access briefings, and other duties, as required. Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity policy , compliance, or auditing position such as an ISSO or ISSM
Knowledge of ISSO typical job functions
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) package documentation
Knowledge of the RMF assessment and authorization process for DoD computer systems
Top Secret clearance HS diploma or GED
DoD 8570 IAM II Certification Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of managing incidents and data spills for unclassified and classified systems
Ability to work in a team environment
Possession of excellent organizational skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
IAM level II Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
