About the Company and Financial Analyst Role

Our client is a distinguished leader in providing a quality and customer-centric property management experience, focusing on affordable and market-rate multifamily communities throughout Northern Indiana. Their continued success is based upon their exceptional team members. The Financial Analyst partners with and supports Operations on key financial processes, including monthly financials, future operating income, cash flow projections, and other financial metrics. The information gathered from these efforts will assist Senior Leadership in evaluating business results and issues in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.

What the Financial Analyst does
  • Meets with Operational Leaders monthly to review financial performance, future projections, market survey data, and other key financial data.
  • Provides financial data to Operations, and documents issues clearly to assist Senior Management with managing real estate assets.
  • Assists with rental pricing to increase rental and ancillary income fees or improve occupancy based on market trends.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to gather and report customer information and works with community staff to implement unit-level pricing strategies.
  • Provides detailed and high-level reports to Senior Management on various topics, including financial and non-financial information, regularly and on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of Quick Books Online, Microsoft Excel
  • Assists in developing community-level annual budgets, projections, and five-year plans, covering all revenue accounts, operating expenses, non-operating expenses, and debt costs.
  • Consolidates budgets and reports on cause-of-change issues.
  • Possesses a good working knowledge of the client's operating policies and procedures to evaluate effectiveness and suggest improvements to drive additional income and reduce operating expenses, improving overall profitability and cash flow.
What the Financial Analyst needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
Compensation

$70,000 - $75,000
