This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Indiana, in executing the Department of Defense (DoD) Digital Modernization & Transformation Strategy. This successful applicant will provide Information Technology (IT) support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana. NSWC Crane's mission is to provide acquisition engineering, in-service engineering and technical support for sensors, electronics, electronic warfare and special warfare weapons. The successful applicant will be a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization who is able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. This position is for a proposal for future work. Resumes are limited to two 2 pages each. A signed Letter of Intent is required. Key Responsibilities This position will provide Network Infrastructure service to include the hardware and software standards, solutions, processes, and services.
Developing and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure including installation, test, upgrades and other required maintenance on systems that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Cisco Switches, Routers, & Firewalls
Cisco Wireless Access Points and Wireless Controllers
Cisco Anyconnect Software
Cisco Prime and MSE
Providing network administration and network security on all circuits entering NSWC Crane (i.e. Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN), Secure Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN and circuits and connecting other NSWC activities.
Have knowledge and ability to be able to administer and maintain all of but not limited to, the following:
VPNs (Remote Access & Site-to-Site) VPLS/MPLS Connections and Circuits Routing Protocols Wireless Solutions Shall provide the following in support of the Network Infrastructure tasking but limited to Ethernet, fiber, fiber trays, fiber/Ethernet patch panels, and Ethernet jacks. Support includes:
Installing and maintaining network infrastructure (Ethernet and fiber) as well as testing, upgrading, and other maintenance.
Providing documentation and configuration drawings/diagrams of infrastructure (Ethernet and fiber).
Assist in data calls for budgeting requirements.
Support in mapping out infrastructure (Ethernet and fiber) inside and outside of buildings located within NSWC Crane. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret Clearance
Seven years of full-time professional experience with the configuration, deployment, and operation and maintenance of fiber-channel and Ethernet technologies.
At least five (5) years of experience with in managing Virtual Servers and Desktops.
At least five (5) years of experience with Storage Area Networks and Backup administration.
Must hold an IAT III 8570.01 baseline certification. Required Certifications (only one required):
CISSP Certificate
CASP Certificate
CISA Certificate
CCNP Certificate
GCED Certificate
GCIH Certificate
