Job description

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Systems Security Specialist to support key programs at NSWC Crane and throughout the United States. Job Duties and Responsibilities: On-site response to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports. Provide security risk management guidance pertaining to the protection of advanced technology. Determine system access eligibility in accordance with Navy security protocol. Conduct site surveys and physical security accreditations, interpret current security policies, and implement organization security policies and procedures. Conduct inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, etc. Investigate, report, and security incidents. Demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts. Possess knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of SCI. Provide analysis and recommendations in physical, industrial, information and personnel security. Review and apply governing policy including Executive Orders, DoD Security Directives, and the JAFAN Series. Travel Required: Possible 25-50% to NSWC Crane and/or Washington DC, Navy Yard Possible travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations as necessary Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent 5 years of professional experience with system security Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required to start) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent 7 years of professional experience with system security Active Secret Clearance Any of the following certifications would be a plus to have: CompTIA Security+ Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA) Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) Certified Cyber Forensics Professional (CCFP) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) certifications Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
