Job description

Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Project Manager II to join our USAF Air Mobility Command Global Decision Support System (GDSS) Functional Help Desk Team. The Program Manager Level II is responsible for planning, initiating, and managing projects that align with business objectives. This role involves guiding the work of technical staff, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams, and ensuring that project stages are well planned and executed. The Program Manager Level II will monitor project progress, assess business implications for each stage, and ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management with the ability to oversee technical staff and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Duties & Responsibilities Plan, initiate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Lead and guide the work of technical staff, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standards. Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of project goals and requirements. Plan project stages, including setting timelines, assessing risks, and identifying resource needs. Assess the business implications of each project stage, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. Monitor project progress, addressing issues or delays as they arise to keep the project on track. Ensure that all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards. Manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within approved limits. Report regularly on project progress to stakeholders, including executives and department leads. Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors as necessary to complete project tasks. Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Minimum of 4 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in a technical environment. High School Diploma or College Degree with functional/technical experience and appropriate certifications. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide technical teams and manage multiple projects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Demonstrated experience in planning and executing projects, including managing timelines, budgets, and resources. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address issues and find solutions quickly. Experience with project management tools and software. Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively.
