Job Title: Junior Financial Analyst Location: Scott Air Force Base Positions: Multiple Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance Salary: Please provide your salary requirement Job Overview: Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Analyst to provide critical accounting and financial operations support for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Joint Financial Operations & Systems Support (JFOSS) Program. The selected candidate will play a key role in sustaining audit readiness in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), while contributing to USTRANSCOM's data strategy, business intelligence, and automation initiatives. This on-site position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Financial Management Directorate (TCJ8) and assist with IT-related support and functional expertise. Key Responsibilities: Provide accounting and financial operations support to USTRANSCOM's TCJ8 Financial Management Directorate in compliance with GAAP. Assist in sustaining audit readiness by conducting reviews, identifying discrepancies, and resolving auditability issues related to transportation and financial systems and/or processes. Collaborate with IT support teams to contribute to data strategy, data management, business intelligence, and robotic process automation (RPA) efforts. Conduct detailed research, analysis, and documentation of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Support the identification and resolution of issues impacting the auditability of USTRANSCOM's financial and transportation systems. Provide recommendations for process improvements and systems optimization to enhance financial reporting and audit readiness. Prepare reports, financial statements, and supporting documentation to facilitate audit processes and ensure transparency in financial operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis. Familiarity with GAAP and audit readiness requirements. Basic understanding of financial management systems and processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Experience or exposure to IT support systems such as data strategy, business intelligence, or RPA is a plus. Ability to work on-site at Scott Air Force Base near St. Louis, MO. Additional Desired Skills: Prior experience in federal government accounting or audit readiness is highly desirable. Knowledge of USTRANSCOM's mission, systems, and operations is a plus.
