Position Overview:


The Consumer Loan Processor will process and underwrite credit applications for various consumer loans in accordance with Bank procedures, guidelines and policies, and regulatory requirements. There will be a considerable amount of customer service to support the existing loan portfolio and address inquiries from both internal and external customers. Some analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for underwriting and find solutions to customer matters. This position requires continual attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. This position is Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm and is 100% in office.

What You'll Do

  • Process and underwrite consumer loan applications in accordance with the Bank's procedures, guidelines and policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete all due diligence work in processing loan applications.

  • Uphold the Wintrust standard for internal and external customer service.

  • Coordinate loan closings and funding

  • Handle customer transaction requests in a timely manner.

  • Internal and external customer follow up regarding missing supporting documents for loan applications.

  • Prepare loan maturity letters and submit third party invoices for payment.

  • Various other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum 1-3 year's banking and/or consumer loan processing experience, preferred; HELOC experience a plus

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of organization and time-management with keen attention to detail

  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word

  • Knowledge and understanding of various loan documents, banking processing standards, best practices, and audit control procedures

  • Familiarity with nCino, Salesforce, and/or FIS is a plus
