Summary: This person will support HQ Cyberspace Capabilities Center by providing Information Assurance technical analysis to the Air Force Cross Domain Support Element (CDSE) and the Coalition Secure Network Integration (CSNI) office. This office is the warfighter's advocate for information sharing across multiple security domains and incorporating coalition networking requirements. Customers include Air Force Major Commands and six Combatant Commands. What you will do: Demonstrate knowledge of system security as well as network administration.
Perform analytical studies in support of complex mission-critical Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and deliver draft technical documents, reports, briefings, and other correspondence to the government.
Review as-is and proposed network architectures incorporating CDS or coalition networks to ensure compliance with DoD, Joint, and AF Network operations policies
Determine the suitability of the CDS components and/or systems in relation to installation, modification, relocation, and/or removal.
Conduct extensive reviews of information technology documentation including CDS Appendices, CDS Validation Approval Requests, system topologies, site-based security assessments (SBSA)
Provide technical and analytical advice and support to customers who require CDS and Coalition Networking capabilities. This includes guiding customers through DOD and NSA approval processes.
Maintain local MS Access and DISA databases used to track CDS requirements through the approval process and provide AdHoc reports as required. Provide AdHoc reports and briefings with information such as metrics, meeting minutes, inputs for Joint Approval Boards, and updated status of Operational CDS. The government COR will outline the adhoc requirements and specify deliverable with the contractor.
Initiating and maintaining CDS ticket information in the Microsoft Access CDSE database by providing status updates and CDS ticket revisions as they occur. Minimum Requirements: Must have an active DoD 8570.1 IAM Level 1 Certification, such as oneof these:
CompTIA Security+
CAP
GSLC
Education: BA or BS or 4+ years of technical experience may be substituted for education requirements.
Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in analyzing and defining information security requirements and solutions.
Knowledge and Experience in the following areas:
Cybersecurity Principles and Practices
Network Architectures
Information Assurance Risk Assessments
Security Engineering
Knowledge of Security Domains
Travel Requirements: Travel between Scott AFB, IL and other CONUS/OCONUS locations may be required under this task order.
Clearance: Candidate must possess an active SECRET security clearance. Preferences: Knowledge of DoDI 8540.01
