Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team and assist in the oversight of general accounting operations, including controlling and validating our financial transactions.


Primary responsibilities for the Senior Accountant will include maintaining the general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our accounting processes. The role will focus on the integrity of statutory/GAAP compliant financial data through the establishment of effective internal accounting controls, and documentation of policies and procedures. The Financial Reporting Accountant will facilitate the delivery of increasingly automated financial reports and metrics, ensure robust auditable account reconciliations, and support interim and year-end audit preparation, taxes, statutory/GAAP research, and other projects as assigned.



Qualifications:

The requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform the job well.


Technical Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA a plus.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience researching and documenting adopted positions a plus.

- Public accounting experience is a plus.

- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality quality, timely results with exceptional attention to detail.

- Manufacturing and/or distribution experience a plus.

- Advanced skills in MS Excel, and proficient skills in Word and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
