Job Summary

Please Note:
This position is fully remote with quarterly in-office days (In Libertyville, IL).
This position requires Saturday as one of the scheduled workdays.

Schedule:
5 days, 8 hours a day OR 4 days, 10 hours a day.
Either schedule requires working until 8 8:30PM.

Provides support for the user community and development team in the design, development, configuration and testing of Medline's Logistics Systems which include:
Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Labor Management Systems.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to application issues for internal customers.

  • Provide exceptional customer support to internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.

  • Provide technical advice, guidance and training to users on hardware and applications.

  • Assign and monitor tasks for the Logistics Run Support team.

  • Create and update knowledge articles to document SOPs, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs.

  • Manager user accounts for logistics systems, including creation, modification, and deactivation.

  • Document reported issues in ticketing system. Investigate re-occurring issues and develop solutions.

  • Ensure timely escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate levels of management for further action and resolution.

  • Monitor and respond to email alerts.

  • Coordinate and facilitate bridge calls with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues impacting box movement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop a deep understanding of logistics systems, processes, and technologies to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Work closely with Build teams on solutions for new projects and enhancements.

  • Interface with key internal users and all levels of the organization to understand and document development needs as well as ensure client needs are met in an accordance with the SLA.

  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or Equivalent Experience.

Work Experience

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a related area; familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field; experience providing application and infrastructure support.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs and spread sheets.

  • Ability to act and learn on own initiative and execute objectives without day-to-day supervision.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to use PC operating systems and applications. Examples: Windows, Unix, Microsoft 365, SQL.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, make key decisions, and motivate others.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Ability to create an engaging and innovative work environment that fosters collaboration among team members, career growth and excellence in achieving operational results.

  • Occasional travel, possibly international, may be required.
