They're currently looking to bring on a Corporate Controller located near Liberyville, IL, to manage and oversee the company's Accounting & Finance operations, reporting directly into the President. This position would oversee a team of four individuals and a clear growth path within the business.

This position would oversee a team of four individuals and a clear growth path within the business.

Description

Corporate Controller Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the company's accounting operations.
  • Supervise financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Support the company's overall growth strategy.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement controls to minimize risk in accounting transactions.
  • Provide financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage inventory and purchase forecasts.
  • Oversee cash flow management.
  • Administer ERP and related IT systems.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and supply necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Manage the bank line of credit, including preparing periodic borrowing base reports.
  • Ensure compliance with bank and other financial partner requirements.
  • File quarterly and annual taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Profile

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance
  • 2+ years of Supervisory/Management experience
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector a plus
  • Experience with Inventory Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • ERP implementation experience a plus
