Regional Controller
$130,000 to $150,000

Responsibilities

  • The Regional Controller keeps the CFO informed of the company's performance and provides advice on all financial matters within the Region
    • Is seen as a business partner and resource for the Operating Unit Presidents within the Region
    • Evaluate the performance of accounting and finance personnel within the Region and recommend training and changes as needed
    • Ensures accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual Operating Unit financial statements
    • Ensures Tecta's delegation of authority and corporate policies are adhered to
    • Provides corporate office with relevant audit, tax, insurance, and other information as needed
    • Ensures credit and collection procedures are followed, and monitors collections and payments
    • The Regional Controller may assist with M&A due diligence and leads acquisition integration within the Region
    • Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed

Knowledge, Skills & Experience for the Regional Controller (Essential):
• B.S. or B.A. in accounting
• 15+ years of progressive experience in industry accounting with at least 5+ years in percentage completion project and/or job cost accounting environment
• 5+ years' experience in a multi-company/multi- location environment
• Exceptional MS Excel skills
• Strong Knowledge of Enterprise Resource System software
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the organization
• Exceptional interpersonal skills

Experience Needed

  • Prior experience in the construction industry
    • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, direct working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, well-developed financial analysis capabilities
    • Regional Controller must have sound administrative and organizational skills with ability to streamline and regionalize processes
    • Well-developed management skills-principles and people in a decentralized, collaborative environment. Proven ability to train and motivate personnel
    • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while supporting company goals and objectives
