Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and enhancing multiple production processes by observing, improving, and implementing manufacturing methods. The Manufacturing Engineer should be a self starter, someone who is excited to be on the floor learning multiple manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with multiple branches of the company, including Quality, Sales, and machine operator personnel.

Description

  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to the company's production processes.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize and present production and process data, information and trends to management.
  • Document current production procedures and create company standards to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production department.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production regarding tooling life and design to ensure effectual production methods.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and implementing metrics to measure production performances as it relates to quality, throughput, and on time performances.
  • Review customer specifications to direct Quality, Sales, and plant personnel
  • Estimate labor requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions. Drive continuous improvement in labor costs through waste reduction, production efficient, and operations improvement.
  • Assist in the investigation and corrective actions of rejected materials.
  • Utilize various lean six sigma problem solving skills to accurately perform root cause analysis.

Profile

  • Technical degree required
  • 2+ years experience in manufacturing engineering or other relevant field
  • Metallurgical experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter attitude, eager to learn new processes and develop professionally
  • Experience writing work instructions and doing Root Cause Analysis

Job Offer

  • Base salary $70,000-$90,000 based on level of experience
  • 6% quarterly bonus
