Wrth Baer Supply is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Distribution Center in Bensenville, IL. Join our growing and dynamic team and help us in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.

Role Responsibilities:

The majority of this role consists of fulfilling/picking large orders of plywood with dimensions such as 4'x8' - 4'x10' - 5' x 10' - 5' x 12' - These materials are heavy and this is considered a rather physical role since the materials can weigh 90lbs or more. You must be able to pick up/drag these pieces of plywood without damaging them into stacks on pallets, then strap them down, and stage them for shipment or load them into a truck. Your sit-down propane forklift experience is very important to us. Please do not apply if you are not already proficient operating this type of forklift.
Process orders, locating products, processing returns, on-foot and vehicular order picking
Driving sit-down forklift up to large stacks of wood board products to transfer them to your pallet before staging or loading into truck - Must be comfortable with the physicality of this role - Some of these materials are rather heavy
Processing outbound orders in LTL shipping area - Fast paced verification of quantities and item condition before loading onto carrier tractor trailers
Processing inbound delivery receipts - Indicate products on receipt match products delivered, noting damages or quantity discrepancies as needed
Working in a team environment on a variety of inbound and outbound warehouse duties
Operating a sit-down forklift and learning to drive other material handling vehicles as needed
Assist customers with loading their order onto their vehicles
Assist with general warehouse responsibilities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

High School diploma or GED
1+ year of warehouse experience (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading/unloading trucks)
Good communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Sit-down forklift experience
Role Characteristics

Stands for 3 to 4 hours at a time
Monday-Friday schedule 8:30am-5:00pm
Overtime is not mandatory, but it is offered to employees on a regular basis
Lifts up to 70 pounds
Withstands fluctuating temperature changes
