The Theatre School at DePaul University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Voice and Speech position effective July 1, 2025, with instruction beginning in September 2025. The Theatre School is an urban, multicultural conservatory located in the heart of Chicago's vibrant theatre community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, collaborating, and contributing as part of a faculty who are invigorating our conservatory for the current/future fields of stage, screen, and new media. Reilly, Charlayne Woodard, Ann Dowd, Joe Mantegna, and Viola Spolin. DePaul University is a thriving multi-faceted Catholic, Vincentian, and urban university with ten colleges, seven campuses, and enrollment of over 20,000 students. The Theatre School, located on the university's Lincoln Park campus two miles north of the Chicago Loop, enrolls 460 students in 15 undergraduate and 2 graduate programs. Our faculty (26 full-time and 60 part-time) includes leading Chicago theatre artists across all disciplines. Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to): Teaching 8 classes a year (The Theatre School operates on a ten-week quarter system) Dialect and Voice Coaching for TTS Productions Advising students on academic progress Mentoring and advising on student production work Directing one production a year Service commitments to The Theatre School Recruitment/auditioning of potential acting students Service commitments to DePaul University Continuation of Creative Activities/Research/Scholarship
