OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join an on-campus ambulatory clinic-based practice located in Boise, Idaho. Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 600+ provider multispecialty group seeking a BC/BE neurosurgeon committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
The ideal physician has completed ACGME accredited residency in neurological surgery and is willing to practice in a non-academic setting requiring excellent clinical skills and comfort with general elective as well as acute neurosurgery, including acute trauma/stroke/spine surgery. We are looking for a physician who can support and advance neurosurgical care and neurosciences at Saint Alphonsus Health System with particular focus on minimally invasive surgical spine and highly complex neurosurgery care to anchor our Neuro Critical care ICU and ACS Trauma program.
The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of Neurosurgeons, Endovascular Neurosurgeons, Neuroradiologists, Fellowship trained Neuro Intensivists, Neurologists, Surgical Trauma Intensivists, Neuropathologists, Neuro-ophthalmologists, and Neuro-otolaryngologists. Saint Alphonsus has a well-established interventional neuroradiology service that includes: Biplane angiography, MRI MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures. Work in conjunction with medical and radiation oncologists and the area's only Novalis Stereotactic Radiosurgery suite allowed SARMC to be the first in PNW to provide Gamma Tile neoplasm surgical treatment. Saint Alphonsus Health System has a unified EMR with EPIC Care Everywhere in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Neurosciences is supported by a new dedicated Neuro and Trauma Intensive Care Unit which opened March 2023.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurosurgery.
- Board certification in Neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment.
- Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed, valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
The schedule for this opportunity is a traditional work week, Monday-Friday, plus call shared equally with other employed Neurosurgeons and hospital responsibilities to include evenings and weekends. There are operating room, outpatient clinics and call responsibilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right Neurosurgeon to join Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
