Job description
Adventist Health Castle (AHCS) is seeking a full-time, experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its Neurology specialty, serving inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be mission and team-oriented, dedicated to providing high-quality care in a collaborative environment. The incumbent maintains responsibility for providing expert clinical care and patient support for a variety of neurological conditions and diseases, including but not limited to headache, memory disorders, stroke prevention, pain management, follow-up, and patient and family education and navigation for the infusion center. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited graduate-level program that produced a master's degree in clinical nursing or nursing science in relevant field of specialty. Current Hawaii Registered Nurse License. Current Hawaii Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License with prescriptive authority that meets education requirement(s) for Hawaii state APRN prescriptive authority. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2) years' experience in neurology or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years' neurology experience or equivalent nursing experience in outpatient and inpatient settings. Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) preferred. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) will be considered. Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN).
Candidates must be Hawaii medical licensed or eligible, and meet the hospital's medical staff credentialing standards.
