We have a requirement for a number of Senior Operational Planning subject matter experts (SMEs) that will be part of a dynamic team serving at the headquarters, Marine Corps Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC). Serco currently supports the Marine Corps through the MARFORPAC IDIQ contract vehicle. Currently, we provide onsite support to the MARFORPAC G-3, the I Marine Expeditionary Force G-1, and the 1st Marine Division G-3. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your TS/SCI Clearance. The Senior Operational Planner SMEs provide the command with demonstrated and specialized expertise to MARFORPAC on the assessment, development, refinement, coordination, integration, facilitation, and synchronization of theater, component, subordinate plans in the dynamic Indo-Pacific area of operations. These include operational concepts, campaign plans, contingency plans (CONPLANs), operational plans (OPLANs), operational orders (OPORDs), etc. In this role you will: Analyze a range of INDOPACOM, MARFORPAC, Marine Expeditionary Forces (MEFs) and relate planning documentation. Provides operational insight and assists in the development and prioritization of requirements, strategy development, capability assessments, analyses of alternatives, and documentation development and analyses. Provide recommendations to plans and planning to implement opportunities, increase operational effectiveness, ensure efficient employment of limited resources, mitigate vulnerabilities and risks, and facilitate integration with joint and partners forces. Make recommendations for exercises that enhance the intent, effectiveness, and readiness of plans and orders in contested environment including synchronization and integration with other services and partners. Assist in the planning for amphibious operations in the theater. Support operational planning teams (OPTs) and other work group. Support MARFORPAC inputs into periodic assessment of planning requirement estimates and risks. Produce, review, and provide recommended improvement for accurate meeting minutes. Provide necessary updates to required tracking database systems including task tracking systems, messaging systems, and Command and Control Information Environment (C2IE) database. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must have (required): Bachelors Degree in relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of operational planning experience. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance (may be an interim clearance). Experience in applying military planning process at the component and/or combatant command level. Travel up to 10% may required. To be successful in this role, you should have (desired): Master's (MA/MS) degree including especially graduate of military intermediate-level school, top-level school, and/or advanced warfighting studies programs. Extensive understanding of political military situation in the Indo-Pacific region. Understanding of USINDOPACOM and MARFORPAC organization, command relationships, assigned commands, and direct reporting units. Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (e.g., SHAREPOINT, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., MSWord, Power Point, Excel, etc.). Advanced proficiency in written and verbal communication. Critical thinking and analytic skills. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
