Job description

Cortina Solutions is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the Sea Based X-Band (SBX) Radar supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is responsible for performing logistics tasks onboard SBX in support of Mission Integration SOW tasks. Job Duties: Supporting shipping & receiving, government property management onboard SBX, and managing the Configuration Management library onboard SBX.
Coordinate and manage freight shipments from origin to destination.
Utilize software systems to track and monitor shipments.
Communicate with customer and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods Job Requirements: HS Diploma and 11 years' logistics or freight handling experience (additional education can be used in lieu of experience)
Use of packaging and handling tools to prepare pallets and containers for shipment
Experience with storage and inventory of supplies
Excellent organizational and time management
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Effective written & verbal communication skills
Travel up to 50%
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
SBX Logistics experience, preferred
Operation of material handling equipment, preferred
Knowledge of maritime shipping and receiving requirements and regulations, preferred Physical Requirements: Must not be hindered by motion sickness and must pass/maintain Maritime Medical Exam IAW Missile Defense Agency requirements
Must be able to balance, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, crouch, stretch, and kneel.
Must be able to climb up to 10 flights of stairs regularly
Cannot be afraid of confined spaces.
