Job description

Environmental Specialist This position requires an active NACI clearance or the ability to obtain a NACI clearance to be considered. An Environmental Specialist will be an integral part of our team working with the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), installations, and communities to plan projects, ensure compliance, and provide technical support for high profile initiatives at installations and other locations throughout the Pacific. The environmental professional will deliver draft documents for PWSs, Statements of Work (SOWs), programming documents, cost estimates, and other components of the acquisition package for government review, approval, and submission for environmental contracts. In addition, this position will assist in conducting independent reviews of the performance and products of non-A&AS contracts, identify problems of missing data or other unsupported elements of non-A&AS contractor submittals, provide technical review and risk assessment of projects. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Environmental Specialist: $110K - $125K per year. Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Environmental Specialist Responsibilities Include: Drafts solicitations (i.e., RFPs and RFQs) for purchase orders, contracts, and/or task or delivery orders under Blank Purchase Agreements, Federal Supply Schedule contracts, and agency contracts using standard agency templates and checklists. Works closely with environmental SMEs to write statements of work. Reviews responses to solicitations for compliance with solicitation requirements. Assists with drafting technical evaluation reports and fair and reasonable price determinations. Uses environmental knowledge/experience to perform contract administration activities including, but not limited to, preparing modifications for exercising options, incremental funding and other contract changes, preparing contract close out audits and modifications, maintain official contract file in accordance with required checklist, and monitor contract and notify Contracting Officer of any changes and/or updates. Maintains contract files in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Performs data entry tasks for procurement tracking purposes, including, but not limited to, entering data into government data systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Environmental Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university, in a closely related scientific field. 3 years of relevant experience. Experience with federal projects and Pacific region Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities. A working knowledge of the FAR preferred. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Current USA passport (or ability to obtain within five months). Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD-issued CAC card (i.e., NACI/SF85). Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Environmental Manager, or Contract Specialist.
