HX5 is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Electronic Warfare and Avionics Division (AFLCMC/WNY) at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide electrical engineering and technical support, analysis, and risk management for Sniper Pods and other targeting/avionics systems used on USAF aircraft Assist in technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation and cost and risk analysis for systems, subsystems, and support equipment Define system requirements, review vendor designs and technical proposals, research and develop technical solutions, perform functional analysis Conduct trade studies and technical reviews as well as perform test and evaluation activities Aid in creating engineering documentation and electrical engineering analyses Assist in identifying, managing and mitigating technical and program architecture risks, including interoperability analysis and risk assessment Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD OR, Bachelor's Degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD OR, 15 years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD. Experience with avionics, test equipment and aircraft electronic warfare systems is preferred, but not required. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. Must be able to travel, including air travel.
