Job description
Overview:
As the Dedicated Brokerage Dispatcher, you will be responsible for assigned customer & carrier orders within the Sims Transport operation. This position will track carriers' progress on customer shipments, manage shipment pickups, deliveries, and loads in transit while identifying and resolving issues.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process and manage customer orders, ensuring all information is entered correctly and efficiently into the system.
Coordinate and schedule appointments with clients, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Follow all company policies and procedures as it pertains to onboarding and loading carriers within the system.
Regularly assess the status of customer and carrier relationships, as well as all freight in transit.
Focus on managing loads by assigning carriers, tendering shipments, and holding carriers accountable for committed shipments.
Proactively execute timely tracking and tracing for all shipments in transit, ensuring punctual updates and issue prevention.
Disseminate accurate tracking updates to internal team members, ensuring everyone is informed of the shipment's status.
Clearly communicate load requirements and details to drivers and carriers to ensure smooth operations from dispatch to delivery, minimizing potential issues.
Field all inquiries from customers or carriers regarding shipment status and provide timely, accurate responses.
Gather driver information and perform necessary check calls (dispatch, pickup/arrival, in-transit, delivery, etc.).
Ensure tracking information is updated consistently and accurately throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Ability to proactively identify issues in the supply chain and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
Capable of working closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate shipments, track deliveries, and resolve any logistical challenges in a timely manner.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the flexibility to adjust plans quickly in response to changing priorities or unforeseen obstacles.
Qualifications:
Driven and competitive nature
Fast-paced and able to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to take verbal/written instructions and execute with confidence.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in carrier sales or brokerage customer service preferred.

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range:$17.00-$26.67
Pay Grade: 5
