JOB OVERVIEW:

The Recruiter is responsible for filling open positions within the Port City Logistics organization in various levels including warehouse and administrative openings. The individual will help source, screen, and interview potential team members that meet the needs of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies.

• Create compelling job descriptions and post openings on relevant job boards, social media platforms, and other channels.
• Source and engage with potential candidates through various methods including networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
• Conduct initial screening calls and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the roles.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and facilitating offers and negotiations.
• Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information, interview feedback, and recruitment metrics.
• Build and maintain relationships with candidates, providing a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve processes and strategies.
• Assist with recruitment-related administrative tasks and reporting as needed.
• Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
• Schedule and coordinate new hire orientation schedule with the HR team and leaders.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• A proven track record of successfully filling positions across various functions and levels. Experience recruiting in logistics/warehouse a plus.
• Strong understanding of recruiting best practices and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence candidates and hiring managers.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Experience with social media recruiting and online sourcing strategies is a plus.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Warehouse or Logistics Recruiting

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
